Volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and we are always looking
for reliable, enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Experience with horses and/or working with individuals with special
needs is helpful, but if you are willing to learn, then we are willing to train! Here are our current volunteer needs.
- Leading & sidewalking during lessons (must be physically fit enough to walk for
45 minutes & jog for short periods)
- Grooming & tacking
up horses for lessons
- Exercising riding of horses (with prior
approval of Executive Director)
- Cleaning tack
- General office work
- Grant
writing
- Planning special events
Lastly, we are always on the lookout for college students (undergrad or graduate)
studying therapy (physical, occupational, speech, recreation, etc), nursing or other medical fields, veterinary/animal science,
or special education looking to complete internships. We offer a diverse clientele, a great working environment &
a very knowledgeable staff.
